Butterfly Award

My dear friend Karen gave me this award the other day. Sorry for the delay in posting it Karen.

So the rules for this award:
1) Post the award(s) logo on your blog
2) Add the link to the person who nominated you
3) Nominate 6-10 other blogs & post their links
4) Let those people know that they have received the award

Now for something completely different:
A different challenge - to post the 6th photo found in your 6th folder in "My Pictures" and tell the story behind the photo.

Now I wondered what I was going to find when I went into my 6th folder. It was either going to be photo of James and Caitlin at the beach or a picture of our cats Monty and Jazzy. Well the 6th photo ended up being a photo of Monty. I remember my DH taking this photo. Monty had just slipped down from the top of the couch, I think he was finding it too hot, then he just spread out and went back to sleep, the kids thought it was hilarious.

Now I need to challenge 6 others to do this too:

1. Delys
2. Denise
3. Teresa
4. Zoe
5. Dawn
6. Jo

Hope you enjoy the award. I am looking forward to seeing what photo is in your 6th folder.

Kristina Werner Color Challenge no 40

Hi Ladies. Hope you have had a nice day. It had been a public holiday here and the weather has been fantastic. We spend the morning at the beach boogy boarding and chilling out. This summer has been great. Well it's time for another color challenge from Kristina. This one really got me outside my comfort zone. This is my entry.

card/ink: old olive, more mustard, so saffron, taken with teal, whisper white, old olive designer series paper
accessories: scallop edge punch, small oval punch, large oval punch, 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds, white ribbon

Recipe:

card/ink: soft sky, chocolate chip, whisper white, designer series paper afternoon tea
accessories: chocolate chip ribbon, scallop square punch, pearls from pretties kit, dazzling diamonds

Thanks for stopping by to have a look. Have a great day.

Happy Tuesday

Hi Ladies. Hope you are having a lovely day. Sorry I didn't post that week. I was getting ready for our first team event of the year which was on Saturday afternoon. We had around 80 guests and did 5 projects. It was a great afternoon. Yvonne and I teamed up and made a peek a boo card, using a masculine theme. I really enjoyed showing this as it is such a versatile card to make for any occasion. This is the card we made.

Recipe:
stamp sets: say it with Scallops, dotted wheel
card/ink: blue bayou, wild wasabi, soft sky, whisper white
accessories: scallop circle punch, scallop square punch, scallop edge punch, brads

This is the inside of the card. The chocolates are yummy and the foil matched the card beautifully.

Isn't this the perfect little gift. I am going to make one for my dh for valentines day. Also we sized the project so you can make 3 peek a boo cards from 1 sheet of a4 card stock, so this is a very economical project. Thanks for stopping by.
