As stampers and scrapbooker we use a lot of different tools to help us create our wonderful projects. While blog surfing a while ago I came across this list of top ten tools that Michelle Fischer had compiled from a poll at splitcoast stampers. I thought it would be good to see what you think and whether you agree and what order you would use. Here is the list
1. Paper Trimmer - paper cutter than can cut up to 12x12 paper
2. Paper Snips - Paper snips are small, thin bladed scissors with a sharp pointed tip. They are great for cutting even in the tiniest of areas.
3. Bone Folder - Bone folders are used to score paper and make crisp folds.
4. Paper Piercer - used to pierce holes in your paper to make borders and decorative shapes. It can also be used to poke holes for brads and to help poke ribbon through holes.
5. Ruler - A clear ruler was recommended
6. Mat Pack - This pack has a template to help guide you with perfect paper piercing, also included is a foam mat and a self healing cutting mat.
7. Crop-o-dile - A great tool that punches through chipboard, multiple layers of card, tin also used for setting eyelets.
8. Punches - Used to punch out different shapes. The most popular ones in the poll were circle punches, corner rounders
9. Heat Tool - Used to emboss, heat set pigment ink, use with heat and stick powder
10. Stampin Scrub & Stampin Mist - A scrub and cleaner used to clean and condition your stamps an absolute must.
Other tools that were also mentioned were
Stamp-a-ma-jig - a stamp positioner helps you line up images perfectly everytime
Hobby Blade - Extra sharp knife used for cutting
Stampin Sponges - Great to use around the edge of projects and also for large areas
Edge distresser - This great little tool distresser the edges of your card.
So what do you think of the order. For me the stampin scrub would definitely be higher on the list. I think it is an essential tool, which I use every time I go into my craft room. I also would also put punches higher up on my list.
I would love to hear what your favourite tools are. If you wish to know more about any of these tools, please email me at stampinggalore@gmail.com.
Thanks for stopping by.

Glad I've got them all - yes stampin' scrub is the best. Gotta to have clean stamps
Paper trimmer is definitely my number 1 tool. Agree that clean stamps are important. I would put adhesive in the top 10 and leave out the heat gun - I don't have one but it was on my list for a while until I have discovered Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds and Sarah Gough's tutorial on using them both with re-inkers.
Hi Anne Marie, theres a few on that list believe it or not that i dont have! lol, i keep seeing the crop-a-dile and thinking to i need it! i am guessing i must do! lol.x

I use nearly all of those tools on every card. I couldn't possibily choose which are more important than any others. I couldn't live without my "tool kit"!
