My New Laptop

I am just so exited. This week I am expecting a delivery from Dell with our new computer screen, and also a new laptop for me. I just can't wait. I have often complained in the past about having to make an appointment to use the computer, but soon I will have my very own laptop. This will mean more post and also I plan to change things a bit. I will let you know when it arrives. Have a good week. Thanks for stopping by.

2,5,7,10 boxes

Happy Sunday. Today has been a lovely day here on the North Shore. We have had so much rain in the last month, the grass is very boggy, but the sun is shinning. James and Caitlin have been making the most of the fine weather and have been outside on their bikes. I keep looking at my garden, it is such a mess, unfortunately it is still too wet so the weeding will have to wait a bit longer. Anyway I have been having a bit of fun over the last week making 2-5-7-10 boxes. These are great little boxes made from one sheet of A4 card stock.

I had a workshop on Friday night and for something a bit different, I decided to do a box and a gift card. Most of the guest were new to stamping and we all had a great time. The ladies got to try quite a few different techniques with the projects. Here is what we made. Thanks Gilly for a lovely evening, you were just a great host.

New Spring Mini Catalogue

Hi Everyone. Sorry I haven't posted this week. I have been trying to stay away from the computer this week, as our old comptuer screen is giving me headaches. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new flat screen, which should arrive in the next week.

The new spring mini catalogue is now available to order from. It is packed with new stamps and accessories. The two cards I have to show you today are taken from the mini catalogue. One of the things I love about the Stampin' Up! idea book & catalogue and the mini catalogues are that they are a great source of inspiration. There are times when we are not at our most creative and at times like these, I like to call on our catalogue for inspirtion.

Mini Pizza box

Hi Ladies, hope you have had a nice week. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made a comment about my color challenge entry. It is soo nice to receive comments. I really appreciate it.

On a recent blog surf I came across a template for a cute little pizza box. I can't recall the name of the blog, but I will find it again and give credit. With Christmas drawing closer, I thought I would start stockpiling some little gifts and I thought this mini pizza box was a little bit different. You can make 2 boxes out of 1 sheet of a4 cardstock. These are my first sample as well as a couple of gift cards.

This is a picture of the box opened.

This was my first box, I wasn't that happy with how it turned out.

I was much happyier with how this one turned out. I also made 2 matching gift cards to go with this one.

Supplies
stamp set: a beautiful thing
card/ink: always artichoke, rose red, barely banana
accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, pretties kit, white gel pen

Hope you are all wrapped up warm ready for the cold and stormy weekend. I think a lot of us will be stamping this weekend. Thanks for stoppping by.

Color Inspiration #17

Happy Thursday ladies. Well here is my first official entry into Kristina Werner's color challenge. The colors for this challenge are rose red, regal rose, sage shadow and whisper white. I use regal rose and rose red alot, but I normally wouldn't use sage shadow with it. This is why I think Kristina's challenges are so great as it makes us go outside our comfort zone.

Supplies:
stamp set: garden whimsey
card/ink: whisper white, sage shadow, regal rose, rose red
accessories: markers, matt pack

I would like to know what you think? Please leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by.
